ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਮੌਰ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਹੈ। ਇਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾਸ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਖੋਜ ਕਾਰਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਮਸਨੂਈ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਦੇ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਿਭਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਾਡਾ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਇੱਥੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਕਸਦ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਅਪਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਤਰਕਸ਼ੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਸੋਚ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਕਸਦ ਹੈ। ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਾਡਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ ਹਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਭਰ ਆਲੋਚਨਾਤਮਕ ਸੋਚ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ, ਸਮਾਵੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹਾਂ।

ਇਹ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਇਛੁੱਕ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਐਮ.ਏ. (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ), ਐਮ.ਏ. (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ), ਬੀ.ਏ. ਆਨਰਜ਼ (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ), ਬੀ.ਏ. ਆਨਰਜ਼ (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ) ਅਤੇ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਕੋਰਸ ਇਨ ਟਰਾਂਸਲੇਸ਼ਨ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਨਾਲ਼ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ, ਅਧਿਆਪਕ, ਮਾਪੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਜਬੂਤ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਵੀ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਯੁਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਤੱਕ ਸੌਖੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ਤਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਆਓ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉਜਲੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀਏ।

The Guru Kashi Campus, established by the Punjabi University on the land of Talwandi Sabo, which has been given the title of Guru Ki Kashi by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, is the premier institution in higher education. The Guru Kashi Languages section here has established its identity in higher education and research work, especially in the field of languages. In today's era of intelligence, students need to know how to get employment as a language student and how to perform social responsibilities. Our department is carrying out such training here with its main objective. Our students are adopting education by understanding it both from the point of view of employment and thinking. Only rational and independent thinking will help them achieve the goal of being established as unique citizens and the main objective of our department is to develop such thinking. That is, our vision is clear, we want to make every student a citizen with lifelong critical thinking and a positive contribution to society. Therefore, we are committed to adopting an education system based on the principles of innovation, inclusion, and excellence.

The department offers aspiring students courses of M.A. (Punjabi), M.A. (English), B.A. Honours (English), B.A. Honours (Punjabi), and Certificate course in translation. The department regularly conducts national and international seminars and lectures on language, literature, and translation. The aim has also been to establish a strong relationship between the students, teachers, parents, and the society. In today's digital age, easy access to all kinds of information and transparency have become essential for the success of the student.
